Hello, this is what i am wondering..

First of all, my computer is connected to the net through a cable connection. I use a Linksys WCG200 Router/Modem/Access Point for my connection but I have also everything filtering through a Linksys Etherfast Router BEFSR41. Also have wireless network going using a WPC11 card. That’s all beside the point. And the following was on my hard wired PC, not wireless. I do have security enabled on the router with 128bit security and WEP enabled on wireless

I had my camera hooked directly to my computer because I did not need to use a tape because we were just doing an interview in front of the system. Also, it was connected through my Fire Wire if that matters. While recording (was connected to the net), we were of course watching now and then the screen shot that you can see through Windows Movie Maker 2 to make sure that we were in the shot, focus, etc… it started doing transition effects on its own, (fading, zooming, colors), also started putting text in the middle of the screen such as, (hello, hola! Stamina?? <which was weird>) and it did this til the end. Ok so my point is, does Movie Maker do this automatically. I was worried maybe I have a security problem with my connection and somebody else was doing that? Also we did have music going at some points during recording.

Any ideas?

Thank
JR

If it's a Sony camcorder you are using, it might have a 'Stamina'
battery.... and a website advertising Sony camcorders uses the word
'hola'.... so maybe you were doing a 'pass-through' using battery power,
your battery was getting weak and the flashing battery info was passed to
Movie Maker... and Hoya is the name of a filter brand.

So maybe it was your camcorder acting up and passing whatever info it was
capturing over to MM2.

I just wanted to add here that I got an email from JRB about this and
proceeded to IM with PapaJohn who did some research and*nailed* it ... JRB
confirms it was a Sony camcorder. Good work, PapaJohn! :)
