Can you use more than one Design Templates in a single presentation?

I would like to be able to change Design Templates
(*.pot), or at least string presentations together so
they can be run in a Kiosk setting unattended. Using a
single presentation with the capability of switching
*.pot would be the simplest perhaps, or not. It seems
when you change Design Templates for one slide, they all
change :o(.

Any help would be much appreciated.
