Hey,

I recently got a version of Rc1 with a Purchase program and was wondering if
it would be worth it to load it up. I want to make sure that I will be able
to "upgrade" to a legit full copy when I get the actual Vista in. So, is it
possible to go from Rc1 to a final version without a fresh install???

Thanks!

REPLY: see posting on 2/26: A FULL version of Vista Ultimate can be loaded & will upgrade RC1; it is the only version of Vista that will. Why load RC1 at all? It will run in "Reduced Functionality" mode only.

To do an in place upgrade from RC1 to Vista, you need a full retail version
of Ultimate. RC1 is not a qualifying OS to use an upgrade version.
