I found a site with backdoor passwords to access BIOS. Just built a
system with Asus A7V600-X. But I installed some drivers, updates that
enabled supervisor password. Well, I’m stuck at 1350 MHz although I
know I can do 1800 MHz with my CPU. The site with the backdoor
passwords says on some BIOS, you wil be locked out if you try more
than 3 incorrect passwords.

I know you can remove the CMOS battery, but do you have to plug in
your computer after you do that? Also, I know I have a CLRTC set of
pins but what do you do to that to do clear the password protection?

shut computer down
remove CMOS battery
count to 60
replace battery
start computer
enter BIOS....which should have reset to factory default specs...no password

"shut computer down" means unplug it. You do not want any
power inside the machine when doing this procedure. On some
motherboards, if +5VSB is still running, a diode gets damaged
permanently on the motherboard. Thus all power must be off,
which means unplug the computer before touching it.

Thanks, I found the instructions in the manual.
Yeah, I cleared the CMOS and I set the CPU speed at 1800 MHz. w00t!
That’s kool. I have better performance in UT2004. :)
