Hi,

I'm a newbie to Outlook, and I configured it incorrectly. I would like to
start fresh and delete the identity I created. Can you help me with this?
Thanks in advance.

Go to the Control Panel applet "Mail" and delete the profile then create a new profile.

If you could include your Outlook version and the version of the
operating system that you use, it would help us give you more
concise help.

- Start
- Control Panel
- Mail (applet)
- Show Profiles

Highlight the profile (identity) that you wish to delete and click the
Remove button.

I have WinXP and Outlook version 2003.

I followed your instructions and deleted the profile in Outlook 2003. All I
want to do is import all the email accounts (not all the identities) from
Outlook Express into Outlook 2003.

Now when I click on the Outlook icon, it prompts me to create a new profile.
I hit cancel and then I get: " No profiles have been created. To create a new
profile, use the Mail icon in the Control Panel." I then click OK and get the
following:

A big red "X" and the message: Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable
to open the Outlook window. The server is not available. Contact your
administrator if this condition persists.

Can you tell me how to set up a profile in Outlook to import emails from OE,
and not making Outlook Express my default email client. Thanks in advance.

Well why didn't you SAY so? I believe Outlook 2003 can import account
settings (if in fact that IS what you are asking) from OE.
