Can you schedule e-mail?

Is it possible to schedule a send time and date for an E-
mail? I am going to be out of the office and need
specific e-mail's to be sent on specific dates and times.

Yes you can,
after you create a new message click on the options
button and then click on "Do not deliver before" and set
the date and time you want it to be delivered. It will
then be sent to your outbox, but won't be delivered until
the date and time specified.

According to the included Help for Outlook 2002:

Delay delivery of a message
If you use Microsoft Exchange Server, you can delay delivery of an
individual message. Everyone can use the Rules Wizard to delay delivery
of all messages by having them held in Outbox for a specified time after
clicking Send.
Delay delivery of a message
In the message, click Options.
Under Delivery options, select the Do not deliver before check box, and
then click the delivery date and time you want.

So you need to be using Exchange as your mail server so it can watch the
time and know when to send your message. Note that the date the
recipient sees will be when you composed the message, not when Exchange
eventually sent it.

If this option works without requiring Exchange (i.e., you are using
non-Exchange POP3 accounts), I would suspect that you must leave Outlook
loaded and running so it then acts as the server to watch the time to
know when to send the delayed e-mail. So be sure your system date and
time zone is correct.

Yes, make your email message, then before you hit send, go
to View / Options. Select delivery options. Works like a
charm, just make sure you leave the program open.
