I'm trying to put a moving .gif file in my windows live mail signature
default, but every time I try to create a new email, I get a message saying
it's not compatible with txt files and that the signature's been deleted. Is
there something I'm doing wrong?

Are you sending a HTML email?

Why are you asking this question in the WinMail newsgroup?

What Maria posted with is not the question.
Her question was, "I'm trying to put a moving .gif file in my windows live
mail signature...".

Are you saying that Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail are the same thing?
A Google search for Windows Live Mail talks about accessing Hotmail.
A Google search for Windows Mail talks about the Vista email program.

<sigh>
I was answering Gary.
Maria posted with Windows Mail.
Gary posted with Windows Live Mail.
You posted with OE6 SP2.

BTW, all I can suggest to Maria is that she try. Maximum size for a
signature file is 4 KB.
