can you print two 8-1/2x 11 pages on one 11 x 17 page?

I have a 84 page document, portrait orientation 8-1/2x11. I want to print it
to 11X17, with two document pages side by side. Can PowerPoint handle this?

Not by itself, but some printer drivers will let you print two document "pages"
(slides) per sheet of physical paper. Check your printer properties to see if
it will do this.

There are also programs that can (for some printers, at least) do this kind of
thing on the fly:
