I am starting to look into this. The answer does not
seem to be immediately clear, so maybe someone can offer
me the short answer and point me in the rigth direction
so I can work out the details. I have 3 objectives.

1) right now, I log into various customer sites to
support issues related to a software product we sell and
support. I can get to their desktop via Remote Desktop,
but when I do this, I have taken control of their PC. I
would like to get to their desktop in a way that the user
and I can work together on their desktop.

2) about like the first, except this time I want to share
my desktop with an outside user/prosect that will log in
via ___________ (maybe you could fill in this blank), to
either view a product demonstration, or

2 1/2) ... work interactively on my desktop.

I realize, I believe, the router will have to be directed
to the appropriate desktop.

3) about the same as the first two and 1/2 ... I will be
at a customer site tomorrow to do some application
training ... so will be on the inside of their firewall.
I want to be able to connect from the computer I am
stationed at to another workstation ... interactively.

Thanks!

You could use Windows Terminal Services which would allow multiple people to
interact with the same virtual desktop. Presentation alternatives might
include tools such as WebEx. If you need to literally access a users
workstation desktop tools like PC Anywhere can be beneficial.

Food for thought,
