Can you modify Navigation Controls not in a data access page?

I am trying to modify my navigation control on my form to where it will say
record 1 of 10 or something like that, but the only way I can find out how to
do it is on a data access page. But I want to do it on a normal access page.
On the data Access Page it is called a recordset label. But I want to do it
on a regular access form. Or how is a data Access page different than a
normal form?
