Can you install from a mounted drive??

I've been reading around and anxiously awaiting work to end so I can go home
and install Beta2, and wondering if I would even have to bother with burning
a DVD?

Doesn't the Vista installation require restarts? Wouldn't that negate the
ability to run the setup from Daemon Tools?

I used Daemon Tools a few times to install Vista x64 and it went flawlessly.
The method used in Windows Vista setup is very cool, what it does is copy
all the necessary files to the target drive, basically, a preconfigured
image of OS, expands necessary files, restarts the computer at about 27% the
continues setup, restarts again, installs features, installs updates,
restarts again and Completes setup and you are done. Install time and
success can vary depending on system configuration. But, no, the DVD is not
required throughout setup, only for the initial phase which is copying to
the target.
