During the installation of my cable internet the installer couldn't get the installation to work with my
current(and working) ethernet card. So he installed a 2nd (new) NIC. The drivers installed correctly for
this 2nd card, it shows up in Device Manager (Win2000) but there is a yellow exclamation mark next to it,
and when I check it's properties the device status says: "This device cannot start (Code 10)".

I'm trying to troubleshoot this but I'm not even sure that you can have two different NIC cards on one
computer. Can someone start me off with the answer to that question?

Yes, you can have two NICs in one computer. TO find out why the new NIC is
not working, you should start by checking the System Event log for errors.
