Can you insert a new video

in the beginning of a project without disrupting the the positioning of the
audio and video that has already been inserted?

.... positioning of the subtitles is also an issue. When I inserted some
video, the subtitles didn't shift with the shifted video. I had to
reposition the subtitles manually.

Anybody know how to avoid the manual repositioning?
 
I have had to always re-position the titles etc when inserting anything...A
pain, and sometimes it is better just to leave them until the very last edit.
In Avid, they stay with the clip, but you pay for that. Everything 'bumps
down'.
MM has nearly got it but needs a couple of simple updates to make the
program much better.
(Microsoft take note)
