Hi Everyone,

A quick question, Can I have multiply severs configured
with as a TS Licence server on a single domain. I have
three servers install:

Server1 is installed as TS licence server for 50 clients
Server2 is installed as TS licence server for 100 clients
Server3 is installed as TS server in application mode

I would like to know how the TS client licence gets
issued and from which TS licence server. Also, how does
the server3 select which TS licensed server to use?

Any information will helpful

Regards,

Bigufo

Matthew,

Thank you for the information. A quick question again,
Why does terminal server will look to the domain
controller? Do I need to install TS Licence server on a
domain controller or can instal it on a member server?

Thanks for the information once agian.

Regards,

Bigufo

To tell the truth, I really don't know why the domain
controller _must_ have the license service on it. But I
do know that if you are in a domain, you must have it on a
domain controller. If you are in a workgroup environment,
then you must have the license server on a member server.

To tell the truth, I don't know why the licensing must be
on the domain controller. However, I do that if you are
in a domain environment, then it must be on a domain
controller, and if it isn't, the license service will
fail. If you are in a workgroup environment, however, you
can put the license service on a member server, just make
sure it is Windows 2000.
