My boss has asked if there is a way to create a table style yourself or if we
have to use the choices they provide? Does anyone know?

Guess this is a PPT 2007 question, to the best of my knowledge you cannot
create a new table style.

You can create table styles in Word and Excel 2007, but not in PowerPoint
2007. (Let's see what 2010 brings ...)
