Can you automatically save as a PPS when you download?

When a file is saved and posted as a PPS, if you choose to Save the file, it
automatically saves it as a PPT. Can you save it as a PPS file?

I'm not sure - but you can certainly right click the file (after you've
saved it) and rename it from .ppt to .pps

What TAJ said. In addition, when you choose to save the file, you should see
the file such as abc.ppt (if you can't see the extension, try unhiding
extension through Start > Settings > Control Panel > Folder Options). Simply
rename the .ppt to .pps and click Save.
