We decided to not implement this as being too complicated. However, I did
think it was an interesting question to ask.
We intended to create network drives for users and assign them based on
their security group. Each security group would have a network drive
assigned. For example, Admissions would have a Q drive that was mapped to
\\userfiles\admissions, Bereavement would have an X drive mapped to
\\userfiles\Bereavement.
Could something like this be handled by Group policy? Is there a better way
to handle it?
