I would concur with Andres: if you're starting with PowerPoint, Producer might be a better tool for you than WMM2; see
http://www.microsoft.com/office/powerpoint/producer/prodinfo/default.mspx. Of course, you could always export your presentation as images and then import those into WMM2
And again, depending on exactly what you're trying to accomplish, you may find DVD XPoint interesting (
http://www.dvdxcopy.com/point.asp). It claims to "convert your...PowerPoint presentations into...DVD movies..."
Finally, you might check over in microsoft.public.powerpoint for other suggestions/ideas

to accomplish, you can put video, still photos, and PowerPoin
presentations, synchronize all of them, and make them viewable from a we
browser using Microsoft Producer. Not to hard to use either
PapaJohn also has it listed on his site, if you using MM2..
