Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right group so forgive me if
it's not, and I'm not entirely sure if what I want to do
is possible.

My question is:

We have powerpoint slides that we would like to
extrapulate data from i.e. a graph, a paragraph of text
etc. And bring these bits into a webpage (intranet) for
displaying. Is this possible to do with XML

Cheers

The data could be extracted via VBA w/in PPT or by an external app acting as
a controller and it could be expressed as XML; XML per se won't do anything
for you in PPT though.

My question is:
Thanks. What kind of apps our out there that can convert
to XML? Can anyone point me in the right direction. Can
Powerpoint 2003 save as xml?

It uses XML when it publishes to the web, but it's probably very
special-purpose.

You might want to have a look at our PPT2HTML add-in, though (free demo at
www.pptools.com)
Despite the name, it's more of a tool to extract user-specified data from
PowerPoint slides and insert it into a user-created template. Usually the
template "looks" like HTML, but the add-in doesn't really care. It could be
letters home to mom, burma shave signs or ... ! ... something like XML. ;-)
