Can word forms be used to collect data similar to access?

I am trying to develop a data-entry form to be sent to several people to
complete. Can I create a form in Microsoft Word that people can fill in and
then pull that data into a database for analysis?

Hello Graham,
I am trying to do the same task as Anne, but have never used macros. The
instructions on your web page are beyond my comprehension. Do I copy and
paste the string of text into a macro command somewhere? Sorry, but I'm
completely lost. Thank you for your help.
