OK, so today is the 1st of December.
So can we now mention Christmas as it's only 24 days to go?
May be this could be 'The Offical' Christmas Thread!!!!
 
Of course we can talk about Christmas, it's the 1st of December!

a) The TV was playing Christmas music when I turned it on this morning
b) When I woke up some people in my halls of residence had already put up decorations
c) The shops are all playing Christmas music and have been for the last month and a half

so I guess IT'S CHRISTMAAAAAAAAAS as Noddy Holder said.

but no we should not have mentioned it until today.

I saw advertisements
on the telly and decorations in shops as early as AUGUST!
That is a big no for me
 
I think about a fortnight before Christmas is about right, otherwise by the time christmas day comes you are fed up to the back teeth of it..

as i have stated in past threads it is known as "You know what"
So until its freezing cold and peeing down with snow and not less than 2 weeks from Nicolas`s bad chimney drop down we shall refer to it as "none existent" :)

If people dont like the idea of Christmas being mentioned on the 1st of December then i suggest you lock the thread!
Or would you prefer me to delete it?

May be we should go back to the 'old' days and only mention it between 00:01 to 23:59 on the 25th!

Good grief man, will you please lighten up?

Most of the posts here - and certainly mine - are meant to be taken in a light hearted manner.

I shall put on my serious bald eagle and grumpy old Hector voice:

'Of course you can mention Christmas, it's the first of December'

Now go and stuff your turkey :)

Go ahead and enjoy the festive season. I personally dont even think of "you know what " until about a week or more before, then i am nearly on the annual " you know what" holiday " and then drink eat and be stupid for at least 10 days . The "you know what " season is not really a holiday coz you spend more energy than any other time of the year .

Had a bad week, sorry.
Now on some real ale, not sure which was the room is spinning, but the drinks on me.
If i hurl it will be all over me!!!!!
