Can we install a BCM database without Outlook ?

Hi there,

Is it possible to install a BCM database (several databases, actually),
without installing an Outlook ?
That would avoid using one Office user licence to create a central
database (on a server).

If possible, is it described somewhere on MS's web site ? I can't find it.
How do we do manage the permissions if no outlook client is installed on
the server ?

Thank you,

Jacques

I don't believe that you can have BCM without Outlook. You can, however,
have Outlook and BCM without Office.

I'm trying to understand why you are asking the question. If you give more
details, perhaps we can offer more options. BCM doesn't need to run on a
server. It can be shared from a user's PC. If you are a small office with
just a few people sharing the database, just put it on one of the PCs.

Hi, thank you for the answer,
I want to do this to be sure that a central database is always available.
The people using BCM are from the marketting, and they're not always there.
