A few weeks ago, I downloaded RC1, and finially have everything working on my
machine. If a code was e-mailed to me, it probably ended up in my junk
filter, so I do not have a code. I telephoned and was told to get another
download, which I do have a product key for, but do not have the 17 GB of
free disk space to install it! (I have about 11 gb free) I know this is a
problem, but is there a way to obtain a key for the working installation I
have?
I chose the "Business" edition when asked at installation.

Unfortunately, although you have another key, it will not work to activate
Business Edition. The cd keys sent out via the CPP program are for the
Ultimate Edition only.

You could try a telephone activation. I have heard of some people being
able to get the appropriate key that way.

Thanks, but I have not had luck with telephone activation, the activation
code I have just baffles the operator, and they can only recommend
re-installing. After a week of trying, although I now know the problem is the
version, I can't seem to get a solution. If I only had a 100 GB hard
drive.....

Anytime Upgrade requires that the original installation of Vista be
activated first. The OP can't activate his current installation.
Anytime Upgrade also involves the handing over of the required upgrade fee,
so is not really appropriate for pre-release software.

Haven't tried the first so I will defer, but the second requires entering
the new product key which you receive when you hand over your fee. In this
case he has the product key for the upgrade version (ultimate)

Okay, I see the procedure has been changed since the manual I have. I see
now that software is necessary in addition to the product key. Guess the OP
is out of luck.
