Hi

I am planning a dual boot vista / xp system with twin 250gb hard disks

In XP I will use the trick on toms hardware to enable software raid
Then XP will boot to a small mirror and access data on big fast stripe
I guess XP can not access a vista software stripe
but can vista recognize an XP stripeset ? <

I doubt it, especially if you're using software RAID striping. That's done
in XP, not in hardware; so when Vista is running it won't be running the
same disk access system and won't read it.

Works fine on 'hardware'* RAID-0 from onboard Intel ICH7R RAID controller on
my machine.

* Not true hardware RAID, as main CPU is used, unlike a true hardware RAID-5
card with its own CPU (expensive).
