Jay,

What does it say exactly? Probably there is something wrong with the +5Volt
for the standby mode.

This is 5volts, standby power.

The ATX power supply always has 5 volts on this line, even when the PC is
shut down. This allows for things like Wake On Lan and Suspend to RAM.

What is it complaining about? Too low or high?

Too hight by how much?

Post what your actual voltages are. Not sure what could cause them to be too
high... Too low would be underpowered but I doubt that's the case for
overpowered.

What else is in the PC?

to high as is my 5vbat ? is this a problem, thinking of getting a 400w psu

Are you using the correct hardware monitor program, properly set up
for your motherboard?

There is no "5VBat" on a PC motherboard, at least not a standard one
but who knows what an OEM did... there's a 3V battery, a 5VSB, -5V,
-12V, +3, +5, +12.

List your specific motherboard and power supply, make/model.

As for the 5VSB reading, has it always been the same, and is the PC
turning on and/or coming out of standby OK? If you have a voltage
meter it would help to take more accurate readings with it, from the
power supply connectors.
