Can a domain trust exist over a WAN connection? And how does one set one up?

And; Point me to the KB article that shows how to setup an WAN link between
a local domain and a remote child domain.

First, what kind of connectivity exists between these 2 sites. Is there a
dedicated tunnel? would you be doing a demand-dial connection? over VPN? No
connection at all? Now, let's hypothetically say you have a dedicated
tunnel? then the ovbious question is "is everything (meaning all ports)
opened between the sites"? There are more things that go into the
consideration after answering the obvious "how are they connected"
questions. This document is the closest I can readily locate right now

That's the document I'm looking for.

I'm going set this up in a test environment first to get the hang of it. I
control the routers on both ends of the WAN link. By dedicated tunnel you
are referring to a VPN connection between the two servers...? Will I need
to get the VPN going as member servers and then make the servers AD...?
Since the tunnel will need to be there so the domains can see other yes...?

Thanks for the reply.
