Can two computers share files over the internet? My brother (which lives in
Utah) and I would like to figure out how since he will be getting broadband
very soon (I've already got DSL).

Also, we are both using Windows XP Home. Anyone know of a source that
explains how to set this up?

Thanks,

Jeff

Ok, but is that the same thing as sharing files? We're not looking to do
just a file transfer from pc to pc. Say what if we wanted to do this while
the other isn't at thier PC? Like what you might do if you were on the
same local network, except across the country.

Thanks,

Jeff

There are quite a few ways of doing this:

* You could both install an FTP server.
* You could both install an HTTP server.

But I'd say the best thing would be for one of you to install and run a
DC++ server and both of you to install and run a client. From there you
can host your own private room and share whatever you like.
