Can the Task Bar span dual screens?

Can I make the Task Bar span across both screens of my
dual screen computer? The default settings lock the task
bar on one screen only.

Dell Precision 360
NVIDIA Quadro FX500 video card, with dual monitors
WindowsXP Pro, v5.1, SP1

Some video cards come with software that allows it, or so I hear.

I ran dual monitors for a long time, and never figured out a way to do it,
although you can take the special toolbars (like quick launch, address bar, etc)
and dock them to the bottom of the second monitor, which isn't too bad.
