Using the keyboard - is there a way to confirm Yes a popup box that
appears when you select a file or files to be permanently deleted.
It seems there should be a way to do this rather than reaching for the
mouse each time to do it.

Assuming that "Yes" is active on the pop up, just push Enter.

And if not, the TAB key can be used to switch to it - it may take more
than one press though.

Does the dialog prompt with Yes (and whatever else) have hotkeys
assigned to those buttons? That is, is there an underlined character,
like the "Y" being underlined? If so, hit the Y key (or whatever is the
hotkey).

Thanks to all responders. The enter key alone did not work but as
Zephod suggested when combined with the Tab key it did.
