I have set up a multi-boot system with WinXP Pro as the fourth OS installed.
When I boot to the first OS (Win98se), or to the last one (WinXP Pro) I get
a the WinXP multi-boot menu and then have to select either the first or last
OS to boot. It is not really a problem, but rather just an aggravation.
Does anyone know if there is a simple way to disable that boot menu in XP?
And would that cause any problem with booting XP? Thanks in advance for any
advice.

I suspect it can be done by commenting out one or more lines under
"[operating systems]" in one or more of the boot.ini files. See my posting
entitled "Multi-boot Windows XP without special software".
