Can,t change monitor setting resets by itself every time

Cant get my display settings to change no matter how I
approach it.
Problem started after kid loaded a game.

Tried dumping all of the games she'd installed.
No luck.

Tried a few System Restores.....
No luck.
This gets it close.........it comes back ok then suddenly
reverts to the same look.
Small windows, icons, desk top image & tiny text.
Anyone had and fixed this problem?

Hi, you can either: right click on screen > properties >
Click to expand...
settings > change resolution, or change size of individual
elements: appearance > advanced.

My first thought is it sounds like this app messed up
your video driver. Have you, sorry to sound simplistic,
attempted reinstall your video drivers? Have you booted
to safemode then in regular 'mode'. My experience is that
sometimes this .....what I call.......clears windows
throat.

Have you tried the 'last known good' boot? Perhaps the
current control set is hosed up a bit...and the previous
one......will do the trick.

those are the ideas off the top of my head.
