Even after setting the AllowBypassKey (and all the other
relevent properies) to false,
I am still able to get to the DataBasewindow/Code/startup
properties etc by.

1. Opening Access 2000
2. Selecting my application (in this case an .ADE project)
3. Holding down the shift key while it opens
4. Using the tools menu while the shift key is still
depressed.

This to me is a big issue and has put the use of Access in
my organisation in doubt.

Any one have a solution.

Thanks Chris.

Thanks all. You can relax now. TC provided the answer.
FYI, I was not setting the menu in the startup options to
my own custom menu. It is not enough to disable standard
menus. You can still get to the tools menu in the way I
described.

Thanks Chris.

and my solution is:

remove the [shift] key from all the keyboards! it's never
used anyway!
