Can someone tell me what Im doing wrong- flash video not working

I installed the windows media player & I tested it & everything works find.
except the media player is not compatible with all browsers.

I tried the same exact steps with installing a flash movie & tested it &
nothing works.all I see is the flash box & symbol but nothing works.

I encoded the movie to the flash format flv. I then imported it to
frontpage .
I then embeded the flash movie on my page following the frontpage steps,
then saved, then tested in all browsers & nothing happened
 
The Windows Media Player doesn't have anything to do with Flash. You and must have a Flash player
installed and file must have a .swf extension/format.
