First, I did a text box, when i went to make my 2nd text box, I hit something
wrong and the second text underlayed under my 1st text. I deleted it the text
box, and redid it, but same thing happened, I then decided to delete text box
and change positioning of it, but that 2nd text, then attached itself to the
first picture in my storyboard, have tried everything I know and cannot get
rid of the text.
Next, i would like to put what I have on a DVD to see what it looks like at
this point, and know that it has to be changed from "my filename.MSWMM" to
probably a .avi file, but can't figure that one out either. A computer tech I
know told me I would need to go to export or something like that and the only
thing I am seeing in the help section of WMM is to save project as and then
it doesn't give me any options.
Would appreciate any help anyone could give me.
I will have to try and burn the DVD thru Nero.
thanks.

Thanks John for that info, kinda late for me to start on it now, so will try
to tomorrow evening and if I have any problems will be back with more
questions.
Let me see if I can rephrase the first part of my question.
When I started my WMM project, I typed a text box with the family's name in
it for the first round of photos, when I started my 2nd text box, i don't
know what i clicked on, but the 2nd text underlayed under my text in the
first text box.
I have since deleted the first text box and moved it to a different location
on my storyboard, but that 2nd round of text i entered attached itself to the
first photo in my storyboard and i can't figure out how to remove it.

the text clips you see in the storyboard are those on the video track....
the others that overlay video clips are on the title overlay track, which
you only see in the timeline view....

select it and use the Delete key.... zoom into the timeline as needed to
easily see the clips

Thank you PapaJohn, I finally got rid of that unwanted text. I really
appreciate your and John's help thus far.
Now I have another question. I saved my project as an .avi file. I want to
burn to a DVD to see how it looks at this point, not quite done with my
project yet, but want to check it out. I have Sonic on my computer but there
are some .dll issues that haven't been resolved yet, so it doesn't work as it
should and I have installed Nero on my computer for burning capabilities.
My project is 1 hour and 47 minutes long at this point, I bought DVD-RW's
that are 4.7 GB and 2 hours, but after I got it saved last night, and tried
to burn to cd, it is telling me there isn't enough disc space and that
shouldn't be an issue.
Can anyone help me there. Thanks

If you were burning a simple Data disk
for archival purposes...the burn would would
be based on file size but for a Video DVD
it's based on duration...a 4.7 GB DVD
blank can handle up to one hour of high
quality video. Maybe your authoring software
has an option to compress the file.

Hi Becca,

John's covered Nero.... I use MyDVD, and how much can go on a disc depends
on the version. Entry level versions are limited to 60 minutes... the MyDVD
Premier 8 version I'm currently using can do the extra compression needed to
have a disc with hours of video on it.
