hi All

I have a site with active directory

My Master DC is in one contry but I have other DCs in
other countrys, My Policies are stores in my DC in Canada
and replications are done to the other DCs in the other
countrys

do you know if the policies are copied to my DCs outside
CANADA? what I need to know is if one of the DC in other
country fall or loose Network connection over the wan to
my DC the POLICIES will still apply to the the local
computers or if they have to be conected to CANADA so they
can pull the Policies from my DC

1-server in canada has all the policies and \\sysvol

2 Servers outside canana doesn't have policies locally, is
there a way to set the GPO locally (make another copyin
them servers?)

Hope you understand and thank you

Mike

A policy consists of two components, one lives in Active Directory and is
replicated with AD, and the other lives in SYSVOL on domain controllers and
is replicated with the File Replication Service.

the files you are referring to should be automatically copied from one
server to another. FRS is multi-master so there is no master server. You
need to check FRS on each of your servers, check the event viewer - there is
a special log just for FRS.

If you post back some of the errors here we may be able to help further; you
might also try the microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs newsgroup
