I subscribe to a discussion group and receive an email notification when
someone replies to my post. Now that I am using Outlook 2003, I no longer
receive those notifications in my Inbox. But if I log in to my mailbox from
the web, the notification emails show up. Is this an Exchange setting or
something I need to set up in my Inbox?

Thanks!

Are you using Cached Exchange mode? If so, what happens if you turn that
off?

Yes, it is set to cached mode. I have turned that off and restarted Outlook.
I will see if that works and let you know. Thanks!!

That worked! Thanks! Why did that work? What does cached mode do?

Cached Exchange mode is supposed to keep a synchronized copy of your
Exchange mailbox on your PC (in a file whose extension is .ost) so that you
can work offline if you wish and have the appearance of increased
performance when working online. For various reasons, the contents of the
OST do not properly synchronize on occasion. Sometimes deleteing the OST
and allowing Outlook to recreate it helps.

OK, thanks!
