On my previous computer the Microsoft calendar was simple and reminders
showed on the screen any time the computer came on. Is there any way to get
Outlook calendar to show my reminders as soon as computer is turned on,
whether or not I open the Outlook file?

Thanks

No. Outlook must be open to fire reminders. There are third party programs
that open a stub of Outlook to give reminders and new mail notifications,
but note, they all open part of Outlook.

Thanks for the information. Do the third party programs you make reference to
open Outlook automatically to show reminders and, if so, could you give me
some names of programs that do this.

Thanks again,

John
