Hi,

I have OL 2000 and hardly ever send "items" as attachments, just documents.
However, it just occurs to me that a recipient who doesn't have OE or OL as
their e-mail client may not be able to open and read my Outlook 2000 "item"
attachments. Logic would dictate if they can open the body of my e-mail,
itself an "item," they should be able to open an item attachment to it, but
I just want to make sure. Jay

No, that's not the logic as you sent in it in HTML or Plain Text format and
you store it as a msg-item; completely different. You'll need to store the
item first in a format you know the other can access like HTML.

Roady,

Mmm. so would I be correct in saying recipients that have e-mail clients
like OL or OE can open msg-items that are attached to my e-mail (be they
sent in HTML or text format) but otherwise, no dice? jay

No, Outlook supports the msg-format Outlook doesn't. When you want to send
an item to someone who doesn't have Outlook save the item first as htm-file
or txt-file
