can receive but can't send

Since yesterday oct 18 Windows Mail doesn't allow me to send any mail.
Failure number 0x800CCC79
Probably some update create a general failure in outlook and other microsoft
mail programs?
anyway, is there a quick solution for this?

Please post the exact error message. Without it we cannot help you.
 
Could be several things . . . most commonly, you need a check in the "My
server requires authentication" checkbox in your account setup. Other
possibilities include the checkboxes for SSL and antivirus software updates
interfering, in which you would disable email scanning. Please post the
entire error message for better assistance. Cut-n-paste it here.
