Can Query fields be used in Super Easy Word Merge?

In Albert Kallal's WordMerge, will it work only with fields from tables, or
can it pull from Query fields as well? And if so, does it have to be set up
any differently... how do you tell it you want Query fields rather than Table
fields?

well if you used Access Data Projects then you could use calculated
fields in a table

yes, you can use any sql you want:

eg:

MergeAllWord ("select * from tblCustomers where city = 'Edmonton'")

or

MergeAllWord ("name of query goes here")

The only bad limitation is that the query can't have parameter prompts. but,
as above you can see how you can add you own parameters.

The above options lets you specify the template, or even to print, or save
the merged document to output name of you choice.

I have used WordMerge for something like 100 docs with great success but all
of the mergefields have been in my tables so it has been nice and easy to
find them via the field list on the toolbar.
But how would I find and select a query field (possibly a calculated field)
to go into a mergefield on a template...I don't understand this bit, could
you please clarify.

Well, you can simply fire up the query builder, build you sql you want.
Then, simply behind a button you can go


MergeAllWord "NameOfquery"

Also, in the download sample, there is a for that displays queries...and you
can select that query for merge....
That form is named "what query". The choice of allowing the user to select
a query, or just placing a button on a form is really up to your
imagination, and how you want to present this to the end user....
