Can Public Folder Calendar auto accept invitations from exchange personal calendar?

Have a user that schedules meetings in his personal exchange mailbox
calendar, I've made the public folder company calendar visable to the
GAL, he then invites the PF Company Calendar to the meeting.

My Question:
We would like the PF calendar to auto accept the invite and show the
correct "Free/Busy" status of the meeting in the public folder company
calendar which is not possible without accepting the invite? Is this
possible or am I going about this the wrong way? I've seen alot of
discussion about "Resources", but this is not a resource or is it?

The public folder calendar is not a resource account. Also, I think the only
way to get this public folder calendar to "auto accept" a meeting request is
to use an event script on the calendar folder.

You may want to consider using a resource account instead of the public
folder calendar. The following article outlines the process for creating a
resource account.

is this the only solution (without a third-party plug-in) to post an
appointment to 2 calendars? I have read at slipstick that one can
just "invite" the second calendar which is a public folder, and the
appointment is just added to that calendar. But of course I can't seem
to get it to work, and this is the closest, recent thread on the
subject.

I cannot find anything that shows how to get a public folder calendar to
auto-accept a meeting request without some type of add-on (script). I
recommend you try using a resource account for this type of functionality.
Since the default permissions on a resource account mailbox will be
Reviewer, all users should be able to access/read the calendar for the
resource account (File - Open - Other User's Folder)
