Can PowerPoint 2007 Viewer be loaded on a Mac for .pps presentatio

I have created a Powerpoint presentation using Office 2008 for Mac and want
to copy it onto CDs to be sent out to folks with mostly PCs who don't have
PowerPoint. Can I load the PowerPoint Viewer on my Mac to be packaged with
the other files to be loaded on a CD for playing on a PC?
 
Hm.

I don't think you can get to the parts and pieces of the PC Viewer that's
needed to run off the CD.

You know, maybe you could use the Export as Movie (Quicktime) thing and save
the presentation as a video file instead?

Or, what about just putting the PowerPoint file on the CD and directing your
users to the Microsoft site (http://office.microsoft.com) to download the
free Viewer for the PC?

If you need something more sophisticated than that, maybe consider creating
a PDF? This would be a good option if your presentation is not animated.

Or, if you have access to a PC, create the CD there. Your Mac 2008 file will
open fine with PowerPoint 2007 on a PC. I assume if you save it as Mac 2004
format, it will open with PPT 2003 on the PC as well. And if the PC has the
Compatibility Pack installed, PPT 2003 should open the Mac 2008 format file
also.

Couldn't I download the PowerPoint 2007 Viewer with my Mac and burn the
unopened Viewer.exe file onto a CD along with the .pps or .ppt presentation
(made with Powerpoint 2008 for the Mac)? Then, the PC users receiving my CD
could copy the Viewer to their hard drive and install it there, along with
the .pps or .ppt presentation. Would that work?
 
That's the answer I was hoping for. I'll send instructions with the
