In the contacts file you have listings for phone number, (ie, home, business,
car, other, etc). Can these names be modified? Why - you have a contact such
as Bob & Gloria Anderson, Bob has a cell phone and Gloria has a cell phone,
if you label them as car and mobile then you have to remember which is which.
If you could change the labels they could be identified. Is there a
solution?

No, the labels can't be modified. if you don't dial from outlook and don't
sync to a cell phone, enter the phone numbers in this format: (B) (202)
555-1212 or (202) 555-1213 (G) or something similar. Or make a contact for
one with only the cell # in it. This is better IMHO if you are syncing to a
device and may call either one - this is the method I use for my kids. The
husband's contact has the mailing address & his cell #, the wife's cell goes
in her own name.

Hi Doug, just wondering if you ever got any answers? I have the exact same
question and am looking for solutions.
