I've searched every where w no success. Can anyone please tell me if it is
possible for Outlook to check and note the external IP number and send it to
a recepient?
What I'm trying to do is to get the external IP number of the Router the the
remote office user is located so I can connect via HTML port 8080 and access
the router. Otherwise I have to call the remote user to check the IP number
manually by accessing the http://www.whatismyipnumber.com and then send it to
me.
Long time ago I came accross a VB script that performed a similar task.
Is there any other way?
Cheers,
Arbel

I have googled for "get ip router vb". For me one of the first matches is
"http://www.vb-hellfire.de/knowlib/assignedip.php"

It´s a German site and provides a demo project at the buttom of the page.
(If you have problems with that please try one of the other sites Google
lists.)

As it seems the project works like this: It connects to an internet service
like "http://www.whatismyipnumber.com" (here it´s "http://myip.bdsw.de/")
and parses the result page for the IP.
