can you access system restore?

Storm

A copy of the Stop Error report would be helpful.

Disable automatic restart on system failure. This should help by
allowing time to write down the STOP code properly. Keep pressing the F8
key during Start-Up and select option - Disable automatic restart on
system failure.

Do not re-enable automatic restart on system failure until you have
resolved the problem. Check for variants of the Stop Error message.

oops, forgot to add this.
short version says
PAGE_Fault_in_nonpaged_area
STOP: 0x00000050 pluse 4 more set of numbers.

you might try to
test your system
via safe mode.

if safe mode runs
ok, then you probably
have good chance
to modify your system
to boot normally.

as soon as you
reboot the system,

hold down the f8
key so that the
boot menu with
the safe mode
options pop up.

it runs in safe mode just great but i when i go back to normal "running" it
will reboot on me ~ there is something that keeps making it close down and i
do not know for the life of me what it is ~ i can not download updates for
windows in safe mode and when i tried to download new drivers for my Lexmark
printer i received the error code Driver-IROl-NOT-LESS-OR-Equal.

A complete Stop Error report might add more!

ok, well if it runs
a-ok in safe mode
then you have a
good chance to fix
the problem.

there are a number
of steps you can
exercise in safe mode
that will re configure
normal mode.

first lets try the easiest.

boot to safe mode again
then click on start>run>
msconfig

open msconfig above.

go to the start up tab
and disable "everything"
that is enabled.

you may want to jot
which ones they were.

next go to the services
tab and "hide" all microsoft
services.

what remains can be
disabled too and jotted
down as well.

then reboot to normal
mode and see if the
issue clears up.

if so, then you successfully
disabled the problem.

the trick is then to figure
out which one or ones
that you jotted down
was causing the problem.
