I am running XP home, SP3, Internet Explorer 8. I have a problem which was
the result of some type of virus on the computer. I ran several scans with
anti-virus, trojan, and adware programs, each finding some type of minor
problem. Since the virus and cleaning I have had no internet in regular
mode. The connection status shows that I am connected and firewalled (using
windows firewall). I disabled the firewall and the results are the same, no
internet.
I also have run several regestry checks and repairs and nothing has been
able to restore the internet function.
Could anyone provide a possible solution to this problem.
Thanks,
Jeff
