Hi all - Access 2000, Windows NT
A co-worker has suddenly discovered that they can not find their tables or
queries lists. However, when they open a report the records are displayed.
They are not the only person with access to this db. I have tried to
troubleshoot as much as possible, but, I don't have many ideas left to
try with this one. Our IT people are of no help, they only do server
problems, they don't support or know that much about any of the
programs they make us use. I have not been able to find anything
about this in Help.
Is it possible that the object windows have somehow changed that
the tables and queries don't show, but, are in fact there? We can
see the Reports list, and Macros. Also, is it possible to create a
table from a report? This is one of the questions they asked me,
and I know there are various ways of doing many creative things, but,
I have no clue on this one.
And no..., they did not save a back up copy of the db on their hard drive.
There is, however, supposed to be one somewhere on the server backup...*if*
IT can find it...<sigh> No offense to IT folks in general, but, ours is
really quite...well.. :-((
Before we delve into the MS support route, I thought I might ask here to see
if anyone else might have had a similar problem. The information in the db
is quite extensive, and would take some time to redo.
I would truly appreciate any suggestions or references we might try.
