Can not view shapes in Normal Mode

I just loaded Power Point 2002 and I can not seem to be
able to view shapes or lines in normal mode. I can create
them but not see them.When I switch to screen show they
are there. I can change the color of the shapes and lines
but I still can not see them until I go to screen show.
Any idea what I might have set incorrectly?

Sounds like a display issue to me. Try changing hardware acceleration
(instrux at http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm) and updating video
drivers.
