I have a home network of 3 computers. A is a desktop
running Win XP Pro & has the shared printer attached to
it, B is laptop running Win XP Home, and C is a laptop
running Win 98 2nd. Edition. I can see and access B & C
from A. From both B & C I can see A and print from A's
printer, but can not access any shared drives, folders,
or files. I receive the message You do not have access to
the folder "\\Dell\Data Files". See your administrator
for access to this folder.
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to setup accounts on the XP machine that have the same information
as the other two computers (B & C). Make those accounts Administrators or
your own created profile. Once you have done that, look at the properties
of the folders/drives you want shared and make sure under rights management,
that B & C accounts have full access. One more thing, most likely B & C do
not have a password setup on their computers to access them. In fact, I bet
you don't even have to click the name to sign on them. Well, in order for
this to work, B & C need to have passwords setup on their computers as well
ass the same password for the account you created on the A computer to
reflect B & C. I probably lost you, but if you have a problem, email me at
my address and I will help you.
