I have just changed ADSL providers, since changing I have started to
experience some strange problems with both browsers and FTP clients.
I connect to the internet using a wireless router. I have a PC connected to
the router via a network cable and two laptops connecting over a wireless
connection.
Both laptops work fine, my PC does not. So by elimination the problem seems
to be with the PC not my ADSL provider or my router.
So the problem is...
When browsing the internet things are fine for the majority of sites. I am
having problems with certain sites in that they either fail to load or only
partially load. I have used a HTTP monitor and it looks like my HTTP GETs are
fine, but my HTTP POSTS are just timing out (unless the upload is very small
- if a hundred bytes or so )
I have tested my connection with a number of web based broadband traffic
monitors, they have all been fine with the download speed check but have
failed on the upload speed check.
Finally I have attempted to upload some files to a server using FTP. The FTP
client connects and can download files from the server, if I try and upload a
file it just times out.
For info, there are no firewalls running on the PC.
As stated before the laptops are working fine and they connect through the
same router.
What could be stopping the PC from being able to upload data ?
Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks
